I loved Sour Land by Wlliam Armstrong. It is beautifully use of the author's prose is very close to is a mature book for mature students because it address the subject of injustice which does exist in American small southern towns, and their prejudice views about people of color.5/5(5).

It seems that even the land has betrayed the three Stone children. So barren that it's known as sour land, the family's farm requires all their father's attention, as he struggles to keep it going.
